In-between

​At the beginning of a four day total fire ban, the worst drought in living history for our region and the expected hottest day on record on Saturday, at a mind blowing 46 degrees for Yass, I want to wish you a Very Happy Christmas! Regardless of our circumstances the season remains. For me Christmas has great spiritual meaning while for others it is a time for family, friends and fun holidays.

Iris and I would like to thank you for your support for us and our business. This year we

• formed a business partnership where we are currently equal partners but with the expectation that I will gradually take over.
• have increased our range and availability of plants.
• have built more shade areas to protect plants and finished laying gravel to the entire nursery.
• have lost our hothouse roof to a large wind gust but still have bore water.
• lost plants to hungry rabbits, possums, rats and roos but still had more than enough for sale.
• had two wonderful helpers, Mary and Kathryn both from New Zealand, who made a huge difference to the work load and morale at a crucial time of the year.
• are building our client base and enjoy helping you, our customers, to have satisfying gardening experiences.

Our first markets back in the new year will be 25th January at Murrumbateman Markets and 1st February at Cool Country Natives in Pialligo. In between now and then you are welcome to make an arrangement to visit the nursery by calling iris on 6226 8132
 
And so in-between watering your plants to keep them alive have a very Happy Christmas and stay safe till we see you again.
